Doo and Ali said: “It has been very exciting to work with The Forum team to create a narrative around the dragons and develop a story book theme with Norwich at its heart. The Forum commissioned local artists Doo Spalding and Ali Atkins to design and create the dragon themed installation within the Gallery. We hope it really enhances the experience for all visitors to The Forum and those on the GoGoDragons! trail.” The Forum team and artists have been busy preparing for Dragons at The Forum and it is fantastic to unveil this unique space showcasing dragons, art, creativity and technology. Tim Bishop, Chief Executive of The Forum said: “The city is alive with dragons and The Forum is delighted to be a part of what’s on offer for visitors this summer. There is an opportunity for photographs with Tuppence and visitors can tweet their photographs from their GoGoDragons! adventures to view on The Forum’s twitter wall. Gallery visitors are guided on a journey though the dragon hatchery to see Tuppence, sitting against a changing day to night sky amongst the Norwich skyline with its historic and modern mix of buildings providing the backdrop. From Saturday 4 July, The Forum will also become home to 26 of the Schools’ baby dragons to further enhance the experience.ĭragons at The Forum is open seven days a week, 10am-6pm, until Saturday 5 September. Visitors can also enjoy dragon exhibits and displays, films and digital content to view as well as five other large GoGoDragons in residence in The Forum and outside the building on Millennium Plain. This takes place around the star of the show, Tuppence, The Forum’s GoGo dragon, who has arrived and taken residence amongst the city’s rooftops within the Gallery. The Gallery (formerly Fusion) has been transformed into a unique dragon-themed experience featuring a dragon hatchery, projections, animations, lighting and sound. The Forum unveiled its Dragons at The Forum experience on Monday 22 June and visitors are in for a surprise while enjoying the GoGoDragons! trail this summer.
